Abstract

The article presents a study on the water solubility of hollow porous poly(lactic acid) microspheres (HPPLA). The researchers used a JEOL JSM-6700F field scanning electron microscope to take field scanning electron microscopy photographs and a Nicolet Nexus-870 spectrometer to measure Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy spectra. They found that the Span80 concentration in the oil phase was an important factor that affected the HPPLA morphology.
