Abstract

The article discusses the effect of diversity and equality management (DEMS) on the performance of various firms in Ireland beyond high-performance work systems (HPWS). The study adopts quantitative approach and the procedure is to solicit survey-based management practices descriptions in different areas which include staffing and recruitment, training and development, and communication and participation. It mentions that HPWS data and equality or diversity systems were obtained from the human resource (HR) practices survey. The study uses ordinary least squares (OLS) regression analysis as primary test of study questions. Results show that the combined use of traditional HPWS and DEMS led to good quality benefits for both employers and employers in the firms.
