Abstract

The article discusses a study which synthesized magnetic beads for the removal of heavy-metal ions from synthetic solutions. It notes the suspension polymerization was used in this study to produce the magnetic beads. Particular focus is given to the specific surface area of the magnetic beads, as well as its swelling ratio. It cites the average magnetite content of the resulting beads, along with its maximum binding capacities.
