Abstract

The article highlights the properties of fluorinated polyimides (PI) from 1,1-bis(4-amino-3,5-dimenthyphenyl)-1-(3,4,5-trifluorophenyl)-2,2,2-trifluoroethane. The authors observed that excellent solubilities in several organic solvents was done by the PI, which include cyclopentanone, tetrahydrofuran and toluene at room temperature. They conclude that the synergic effects of different subsitituents was responsible for the good combined properties of the PI.
