Abstract

The article discusses a study of the combination of wheat gluten (WG) and polycaprolactone (PCL) as a filler to form a biodegradable polymer composite. Pilot-scale extrusion processing and injection molding were employed to form polymer composite materials in the study. Sigma Chemical Co. of Missouri has provided the WG. Results show that an increase in WG content has led to a decline in the tensile strength of the composite.
