Abstract
- The author reflects on the "War on Drugs" policy by former U.S. President Richard Milhous Nixon. He discusses its negative impact on the lives of many Latino Americans and Black Americans. He stresses the need to end ineffective strategies and policies on drugs which cannot alleviate poverty as well as public policy rehabilitation. He also notes that people should be mindful in choosing the nation's leaders for the 2012 election.
