Abstract
- The article discusses the political condition of the Netherlands as of August 2010. It highlights the move of leading Dutch politicians to form a new government following a period of political uncertainty since the general election in June 2010. The failure on the development of a coalition called purple-plus coalition due to the opposing views regarding the size of necessary cuts in government spending is also highlighted.
