Education Bill -- 12th Session.

The article reports on the 12th session on the Education Bill conducted by the British House of Commons' Public Bill Committee on March 17, 2011. The session continued the discussion of Clause 5 which pertains to notifying parents on detention. Department for Education (DFE) Minister of State Nick Gibb agrees that the important issue is that teachers are able to recognize which children are carers and are in need of support. Shadow Minister of State for Schools Kevin Brennan points out that teachers are not always aware of the home situation of carers.
