Abstract

Nowadays non-crimped leno woven fabrics with adjustable fiber volume content can be manufactured. It is possible to create grid structures as well as dense structures with required bending stiffness and drapability. The bases for an enriched variety of products and alternative markets were created within a research project. Other sectors such as reinforcement of injection-molded parts or transportation belts can also suffer from the achieved results. Dresden researchers will be exploring the field of efficient leno weave reinforced plastics in the future. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
