Professional Development At a Crossroads.

The article focuses on the implementation of educational policy concerning career development of teachers in the U.S. It notes the underdevelopment and immaturity of career development of teachers which incited policymakers to take actions in improving the quality of training of these teachers. It also emphasizes the importance of professional learning community (PLC) to help teachers understand the weaknesses of students and to find ways on how to improve their academic performances.
