GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGN.

The article focuses on the passion of retired veterinarian Jerry Onks on Corvette car races and modification. He competed in the national division of the Sports Car Club of America where teams can prepare their cars on large tarps laid on the grass due to lack of resources. He converted a 1996 Collector Edition into an autocross racer and founded his company VetteSport in Smyrna, Tennessee in 2003 when he retired from his practice. He collaborated with racing champion Danny Popp in 2005 to build a 1999 FRC Corvette.
