Abstract

The article reports on borrowers in the U.S. who took advantage of a less crowded pipeline in U.S. corporate bonds in April 2011. David Trahan, head of North America syndicate for Citi in New York, believes that corporate deals are contending against each other on a relative value basis. He added that new issue concessions are greater during February 2011. Confirmation of rights issues from Intesa and Commerzbank boosted confidence that the industry might be steadying.
