Abstract
- We report on the recent developments of chiral effective field theory for nuclear physics based on Weinberg's power counting. Continuum calculations for deuteron photodisintegration, pion production in neutron-proton fusion and baryon-baryon interactions with strangeness S = -3 and S = -4 are discussed. The lattice formulation of the nuclear forces offers the possibility to study the nuclear many-problem. First results of this approach and some estimates for future simulations are shown.
