Abstract

The Mental Capacity Act 2005 altered the way that everyone should practise when working with people who may lack the capacity to give consent. This article discusses the implications of the legal framework on foot care, exploring the challenges faced by families/carers, care home staff and foot health professionals in their work. While this article focuses on foot care, it is relevant to all staff providing care to people who lack the capacity to give consent. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
