Abstract

A chapter from the book "Myths of Europe" is presented. It discusses the contribution of Romantic poet Novalis, also known as Friedrich von Hardenberg, to the challenging philosophical debate in Europe involving the Revolution in eighteenth century. The disenchantment of Novalis with constitutional, political and social reform is reportedly a response to the outcome of the French Revolution. Novalis has written the book "Europa" in order to concretize his vision.
