Abstract
- The article reports on increase in prime rates by big commercial banks in the U.S. and also presents a chart showing prime lending rates of commercial banks of the country in 1967-68. It is argued that the reason behind the rise in the prime rate is increase in money costs across the Federal Reserve Board.
