Abstract

The article reports on the introduction of International Business Machine Corp. (IBM) of its next generation cloud services and technology advances for enterprises deploying cloud technologies. A brief historical overview of how IBM established its cloud initiative is provided. The two implementation options of the IBM SmartCloud, the Enterprise and Enterprise +, are discussed.
