WORKERS IN GLOBAL COMMODITY CHAINS: THE ORGANIZATION OF LABOUR IN EXPORT GRAPE PRODUCTION.

The article presents the first chapter of the study that discussed globalization and time-space reorganization in North and South America. It relays that the chapter was based on the fieldwork conducted on 26 farms in the S&#00E3;o Francisco valley in Northeast Brazil. It mentions that the study utilized literature that are related to global capitalist restructuring and agro-food systems to determine the impact of retailer power and export market condition on labor force organization.
