Abstract
- Presents a study which examined genital tissue, vaginal fluid and vaginal microbial flora at different phases of the menstrual cycle in women without bacterial vaginosis (BV). Discussion on the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases and the influence of vaginal physiology over successful transmission; Comparison of the findings to those with BV; Percentage of microflora recovery and other measures.
