Abstract
- The article reports that Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania defend their historic street signs against the mandate of Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in 2009 that all street signs will be replaced with larger, retroreflective signs. It is stated that FHWA requires the township to replace its signs by January 2011. A brief historical overview of Lower Merion's street signs is provided.
