- Presents a study which analyzed the signatures of glaciated and ice free areas from polarimetric synthetic aperture radar data. Previous work on polarimetric signatures of Alpine areas; Field measurements and meteorological conditions at the &Oumi;tztal test site in the Austrian Alps; Sensitivity analysis for backscattering of snow covered terrain.
