Abstract

The article focuses on the condition of a 71-year old woman who was referred to nuclear medicine department for chronic intermittent abdominal pain. It states that an abdominal computed tomography (CT) scan shows that sclerosing mesenteritis and blood analysis suggests an elevated level of serum chromogranin. It also mentions that a wandering spleen is a uncommon condition that is characterized by an augmented splenic mobility because of laxity or lack of the normal suspensory ligaments.
