Abstract
- The article presents a study on the body shape and growth of wild and farmed olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus, in association with the introduction of wild genetic material into farmed stock. For the study, researchers used olive flounder from two sources from three commercial flounder farms in Korea as parental stock. They found that the parentage for 95.8 percent of the offspring was successfully designated to a single parental couple utilizing eight microsatellite DNA markers.
