Abstract

The article discusses research concerning the flammability of fabrics arranged in multiple layers. The fabrics used in the study includes all-cotton and cotton-blended polyester. A single Eppley pyreheliometer has been used to measure heat radiation rate, noting the significant radiation gain observed in flame retardant (FR)-finished cotton fabrics. After the administration of flame tests, it is revealed that FR outer fabrics failed to prevent the ignition of non-FR treated fabrics under the layers.
