Abstract

The article focuses on the move of a coalition of consumer and activist groups to organize a series of anti-inflation rallies in various U.S. cities in November 1974, which will include an attack on increased corporate profits. It says that protesters aim to urge the government to freeze prices, increase corporate taxes, and pay for more public employment. Wendell Young, president of Local 1357 of the Retail Clerks union, cites that the tremendous profiteering should be exposed to the public.
