Abstract

The article reports that U.S. bankers are preparing for the heightened demand for loans which would increase interest rates in 1973. However, it says that bankers do not project fund scarcity to meet the demands of consumers. Meanwhile, bankers in Dallas, Texas introduced the cap loan to meet medium-term needs of finance and utility companies who have access to bond market. It adds that bankers are expected to cut the rate for commercial paper to avoid conflict with U.S. Federal Reserve Board.
