Abstract

The article focuses on the addition of Ford trimotor purchased from a Mexican mining firm to the 10-plane fleet of the Island Airlines, the shortest airline in the world. According to the owner Ralph Dietrick, the airline is expected to carry 60,000 passengers in which 90% will be in their three Ford trimotor. It mentions four Lake Erie islands which were served by the airline including South, Middle and North Bass.
