Abstract

The article focuses on the traffic control experiments to combat the traffic problems from New York state to Toronto, Ontario. It says that the outdated traffic lights in New York will be converted into a system of computers and electronic sensors worth 100 million dollars. It adds that an experiment worth 100,000 dollars will be conducted in San Jose, California which will use an International Business Machine Corp.'s (IBMs) 1710 digital computer tied to 400 magnetic sensors.
