Abstract
- The article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the development and proliferation of the use of the dichloro-diphenyl-trichloroethane (DDT) chemical as an insecticide in the U.S. in the 1940s. Many people in the country are afraid that the use of this insecticide for agricultural purposes can affect all pollinating insects which are important to the balance of nature. It states that despite the toxic properties of this product, men have nothing to worry because it is not harmful to humans. According to the author, DDT is still used in some farms because it helps increase the production of milk by around eight to 20 per cent.
