- The article looks at examples of nepotism among leaders of Arab nations, including Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi, president of the Republic Yemen Ali Abdullah Saleh, and former Tunisian president Ben Ali. The author comments on the political resistance of Egyptians to their former president Muhammad Husni Mubarak in response to concerns that he was attempting to have powers bequeathed to his family.
