Abstract

The article discusses a court case wherein Anthony Isenalumhe and Jean Gumbs, nursing professors at Medgar Evers College, filed a lawsuit against Georgia McDuffie, Edison Jackson and the college alleging retaliation for exercising their First Amendment rights. It states that the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York granted summary judgment for the lawsuit. It notes that an employee must show that the speech was made as a citizen on matters of public concern to allege retaliation.
