Abstract

The article discusses a court case wherein Lisa Gillard was asked to leave the Northwestern University's (NU) libraries in Evanston, Illinois and escorted off the premises by campus police officers. It states that Gillard, sued NU, claiming that her expulsion violated federal statutes that prohibit discrimination based on race and discrimination against individuals researching disability rights. It notes that the Seventh U.S. Circuit Court of Appeal affirmed the dismissal of Gillard's lawsuit.
