Abstract
- The article focuses on the business planning of British airline operator Freddie Laker for a transatlantic air service Skytrain. It reports that Laker has proposed a low cost shuttle service between Great Britain and the U.S., through his three McDonnell Douglas DC10 airplanes. British Airways PLC and the U.S. airlines have opposed the proposal, as low rates of Skytrain might affect their business. Britain's Secretary of State for Trade, Peter Shore has said that Skytrain cannot be approved.
