Abstract

The article focuses on the marketing strategy of Freightliner Corp. to promote its heavy trucks and penetrate in the East of the U.S. on its own. Freightliner president William E. Critzer has been hustling to create and train a dealer network for its heavy truck market after deciding to separate from Consolidated Freightways Inc. The company has established a closer relationship with dealers by setting up a support operation and has decided to push ideas that its trucks are efficient machines.
