Abstract

The article presents the study on the enzymes of DNA and RNA from mammals and fungi which aims to degrade tumor cells. It says that the cytotoxic activity of ribonucleases (RNases) has been utilized to fight cancer since René Dubois has isolated the bovine pancreatic ribonuclease in 1938. Furthermore, the nuclease of Solanum lycopersicum belongs to the plant nuclease I family which has enzyme attributes such as zinc and magnesium.
