The article reports on the development of minicomputer market in the U.S. in 1974. It mentions that Digital Equipment Corp. (DEC) introduces its low priced microcomputer on-a-board, called the PDP-8A. Meanwhile, USM Corp. is developing a low cost industrial sewing machine in which the microcomputer replaces a mechanical cam allowing user to quickly change the program.
