Abstract

The article reports on the financial performance of General Instrument Corp. (GI) in the markets for cable television (CATV) and metal-oxide-silicon (MOS) integrated circuits in the U.S. It highlights the decline in the corporate profits of GI from 15.7 million dollars in 1966 to 10.3 million dollars in 1969. It emphasizes the improvement in the stock prices of GI which will be significant for the CATV and MOS operations.
