Abstract: This article presents abstracts of several papers about economics published in a 1962 issue of the Journal of Regional Science. In the article Programming Models of Interdependence Among Agricultural Sectors and Spatial Allocation of Crop Production, Earl O. Heady and Alvin C. Egbert used linear programming models to estimate the efficient allocation of crop production among 104 producing regions of the U.S. The paper An Efficient Algorithm for the Numerical Solution of the Generalized Weber Problem in Spatial Economics presented an iterative algorithm, suitable for desk calculator or for computer, which yields a numerical solution to the Weber problem for any number of points.
