Abstract

The article focuses on the solution to the traffic congestion in the U.S. based on the book "The Metropolitan Transportation Problem," by Wilfred Owen. It suggests that to solve the transportation problem, the government should focus on providing more facilities for buses and cars rather than spending on rail services. Owen also recommends that the city streets used by automobiles shoud be converted to pedestrians and buildings should also be limited based on the capacity of road facilities.
