Abstract

The article reports on the advertising industry in U.S. and its role in increasing the consumption goods churned out by an expanding economy. It also discusses the role of advertising revenue in the growth of television industry, the increase in the advertising in magazines particularly farm papers and the decrease in the advertising in radio broadcasting and newspapers. It also reports depression and a war scare followed by a full mobilization as a long term threat to the advertising industry.
