Abstract
- The article focuses on the inadequate number of highways to tackle the growing traffic on roads in the U.S. It mentions the problems with the existing highways which are deficient in width of shoulders and sight distances, as they were built for smaller and slower cars. It discusses the program, called Project: Adequate Roads, proposed by the National Highway Users Conference (NHUC), and the lack of money and steel, affecting the highway projects.
