Abstract

The article reports on the conflict between newspapers and radio advertising in the U.S. The conflict was caused by the release of a survey regarding audiences of radio and newspaper and their attitude toward retail advertising. The result was compiled by the New York Newspaper Advertising Managers Associations which show that both women and men accept gladly advertising in newspapers, and are bothered by radio advertising. Radio enthusiasts attacked the survey base on the statistical grounds.
