Abstract
- The article reports on the economic tensions between the Japanese and its American, British and Dutch opponents, amid the World War II. It discusses the bigger stake of Japan which intended to occupy the French Indo-China part to fulfill her dream of becoming the great Oriental power. It mentions the dismal and insufficient supply of raw silk in the U.S. at normal rate of consumption. However nylon is accepted as the best substitute for silk in the hosiery industry.
