Abstract
- The article reports on the acquisition of Kimberly-Clark Corp.'s 76-year-old, 600-employee Niagara publication paper mill by Pentair Industries Inc. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It says that the mill's closure was due to its low productivity, water pollution system necessity, and new wage pact with the AFL-CIO's Pulp, Sulphite & Paper Workers Union. It notes that the mill has recovered with 10 million U.S. dollars of sales and 660,000 U.S. dollars earnings in March 31, 1973 after the acquisition.
