Abstract
- The article describes the best management practices observed at St. Mary's College of Maryland for the proper management of storm water pollutants. Rain gardens are installed in the college as part of landscape plans. Hence, storm water complying with state regulations is captured and reused. Storm water in holding ponds are used to irrigate bermuda turfgrass which absorb pollutants and make the water suitable for absorption into the groundwater table.
