Abstract

The article reports on the production of paper in the U.S. in 1954. It informs that the production of paper which is the country's fifth largest industry has been declined very less in comparison to other business activities of the industry. It tells that the Standard and Poor 500 Index of paper shares have been increased by 41.5 percent since the beginning of 1954. Two graphs showing the production of paper in the U.S. from 1949-1954 are also presented.
