Abstract
- The article analyzes the reluctance among institutional investors to invest in the U.S. bond market. As stated, the reason for reluctance is the split over what constitutes a satisfactory rate of return in the bond market as, on corporate bond issue the investors won't get a return of less than 3% on long-term bonds, while on municipal bonds the big investors are getting choosier by the day. As reported, reluctance among the investors can be gauged from the several recent unsold bond issues.
