National security must be a top priority of the 112th Congress.

In this article, the author discusses the need to prioritize national security in the U.S. 112th Congress. She states several threats to national security including the inability to secure the border, imported oil dependence, and the decrease in Americans with college degrees. She suggests increasing Border Patrol agents and continuous investment in unmanned aerial surveillance to protect the border against Mexico. The National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform report is presented.
