Abstract
- The article offers business news briefs in Washington as of June 27, 1942. The War Production Board's (WPB) reorganization is headed toward adaptation of the whole civilian economy to the demands of war. The controversy over air-cooled versus liquid-cooled in aircraft engines has ended with the Navy and the Army having both of the engines. A compromise of a 14 percent refund on the 94 percent excess-profits tax of corporations was proposed in Congress.
