MDA Awards Raytheon $43 Million For TPY-2 Radar Development.

Abstract

The article offers information on the 43 million dollars contract awarded to Raytheon Co. by the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) for TYP-2 radar development in the U.S. It is stated that the contract modification was awarded to continue developing the common X-Band capability software and modeling and simulation capabilities for the TYP-2 radar. As stated, the TYP-2 radar is capable of search, threat detection, classification and precision tracking at extreme long ranges.
